A Thoughtful post for this Thursday. 💭
I like to interpret quotes in my own way and with this one I’d like to offer the perspective of, so true that billions of people have had sex. How many have had self devotional and intentionally embodied self pleasure BEFORE sex with another. I feel like the unanimous answer would be, no one.
Which speaks volumes to how much we are taught early on that 1) sex & THE most sacred act you can physically do with your body, should be given to another before fully experienced for yourself AND to yourself initially.
I can’t be certain but I feel like I would have viewed sex so differently if I knew how profound it was to alchemize sexual energy with empowered & self loving energy first instead of thinking my body is something that is supposed to be given to another to feel pleasure, LOVE, or joy from.
2) Understandably when sexual energy is explored with self initially, it is of more curious nature and lacks understanding of what sexual energy even really is.

Which will probably never change for as long as the human species exists. But how much more honoring we would all have initially viewed sex / pleasure, if things were different. Don’t you think?
