I've been promising you guys photos of my garden and chickens for far too long, so here you go!! I harvested garlic scapes yesterday and made garlic scape pesto, and my goodness it was delicious. I need to spend a lot of time weeding and tidying up my garden, but I kind of like how wild it is lol.
The orange girl you see me holding is my favorite hen Canelo (named after the boxer lol). She needed some extra care and attention as a chick, so she's super friendly and loves being held. She lays gorgeous light green eggs and she's what's called an easter egger - a mixed breed known for colorful eggs and their fluffy little cheeks lol.
And the two at the end are some of my weird little dinosaur gremlins that are still inside under a heat lamp. They'll join the girls outside once they're fully feathered and big enough to not get bullied.
