Quick pop in before I leave! Today I film on the shoot of TEST- a movie about a bodybuilder finding himself and experiencing life as he makes his way to the stage. This is an independent movie that will be shown at either South by Southwest Sundance film festival or the other indie film festival. So one of those three is a guarantee!! AAAAAAAAA!!!!
They needed a female bodybuilder that was in shape, HUGE, Aand huge and also from Ohio... Me being literally the best in the world AND from Ohio, no one better for the job!!!
It's a small role, but I do get a few lines. It sounds like there will be other bodybuilders there that have never been in a movie before so it won't be just me getting my feet wet for the first time. I won't know a single person there!!! 🥺 I'm trying not to be super nervous as this is definitely out of my wheelhouse! But I've been on stage many times so I'm treating it much like that. Also, with the last minute changes and phone calls it feels like a bodybuilding competition anyway 😆😆
They didn't tell me that my role was going to be as one of the competitors, so literally at the last second they asked me to bring a suit and basically be how I would look backstage. Kind of a big detail don't you think!?!? I don't just travel hours away from home with a suit!! But I was able to turn around and get it. That's why I got here so late last night. So in this small clip I'm deciding which suit fits the best 😆 All I was told was that I would be in a pink tank top and have a sparkly cell phone as a prop as I would be popping in and out of a conversation. BUT we're getting it done.
My lines are pretty simple but I'm hoping I don't screw them up 🥵
I leave in 30 minutes (noon) and have to be at the location at 1:45pm. I probably won't be on as I will be reading through the script to get myself into the mode.
