Nintendo Switch 2! I’m so, so happy that I received it through Throne. I was already a big fan of the first one, it became a fantastic addition to my life. Before, I only played on my high end PC, which will always be my favorite platform. It’s hard to beat 4K resolution and a steady 120 FPS. I have to admit though, Nintendo offers something I really value: pure, unfiltered fun that comes from just playing 😍
The new console does not disappoint. It feels premium and is larger than the first one. I have to say, I really love the aesthetics. The magnetic Joy-Cons are worth mentioning - they’re very satisfying to use, which is a relief since I was initially concerned about them. My only complaint is the screen. They really could have gone with an OLED now instead of waiting to release it in a few years. That's a bit of a bummer... 🤦🏻
Mario Kart World is fantastic. It’s pure chaos now that you’re competing against 23 other players. In Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, it was only 11. That alone makes a huge difference, and they had to redesign the courses to make sure everything works smoothly. There are new weapons too, and while the game still has that classic Mario Kart feel, it definitely feels different and unique. One thing’s for sure - it makes you want to do 'just one more race' over and over again 😂
To sum it up, I'm extremely happy with it. I have a feeling I'll be spending a big portion of my weekend playing Nintendo games - especially since it's supposed to rain a lot! 😋
