I got some huge news yesterday! The apartment I bought is totally finished now. They’ve wrapped up all the work on the building and completed the surrounding area. I knew they were ahead of schedule, but the original deadline was supposed to be the end of October. They actually finished everything at the start of August! It’s kind of a mixed bag for me - good news and bad news at the same time 🤔
On one hand, it's awesome because the sooner the building is finished, the sooner I can start furnishing my apartment and finally move in. It's been a big dream of mine and will be a huge quality of life upgrade, so I'm super excited. At the same time, I'm still saving up money for everything, since it's all going to be pretty expensive. Now that the construction is finished, my monthly mortgage payments will go up, which makes it a bit tougher to save 🤦🏻
I'm a bit stressed about this whole situation, but luckily my family can help. There's a good chance I'll need to borrow some money, which I usually hate doing, but in this case, it might be necessary. The good news is I can pay it back within a couple of months. It's probably the smartest move, because the sooner I move into my own apartment, the sooner my monthly expenses go down. That's still my top priority for this year 😌
I'm super excited about all this! Next week, I'm heading to my hometown to see it for the first time. It's another trip this summer, and not even the last one. I feel like this one is the most important though. Buying my own place was a dream come true. Up until now, I've only seen visualizations and drawings. Sure, I've visited the construction site and checked out the area, but it's totally different to actually step inside and see it with your own eyes 🤗
