This past week has been pretty intense! The heatwaves made it almost unbearable at times. Somehow, I managed to get everything done, and I'm super proud of myself. Honestly, it wouldn’t have been possible without what I’ve learned here about managing my time better. I knew I needed a break, so on Sunday I decided to just relax and recharge for another productive week, and that’s exactly what I did 😌
The plan was to start with a delicious breakfast, take my dogs for an afternoon walk, enjoy a midday nap, play some games, and then hit the movie theater in the evening. I really wanted to watch F1. I gotta say, this movie reminded me why I love going to the theater. It’s not an ambitious film at all, but that’s kind of the charm. Sure, it has some clichés, but It’s pure entertainment, shot beautifully. The cinematography is top-notch, and the soundtrack is really good too.
I’m not into Formula 1 at all, I’ve never watched a race in my life. I knew nothing about it, but this movie had me glued to the screen, totally mesmerized by each race. When the end credits rolled with Ed Sheeran’s song Ride playing in the background, I was surprised at how quickly those two and a half hours had flown by. Is it a movie I’ll rewatch soon? No. Will I praise its complex story? Nah. Is it in my top 10 all-time favorites? Definitely not. But hey, it does almost everything right and is super fun to watch. Brad Pitt, as expected, is amazing, but he’s not the only one delivering a great performance.
If you’re thinking about watching this movie, definitely see it on the big screen. Trust me, it won’t hit the same at home. It’s one of those films that just works better with a killer surround system and a huge screen. I’m not gonna dive deep into a review because there isn’t much to analyze here. Just go check it out if you can. I’d give it a solid 8/10. Had a great time, plus I tried cheese popcorn for the first time, and it was delicious! Now I’m already looking for another movie to watch, just so I have an excuse to hit the theater again! 😄
