It's Friday. This robe is killer hot. Killer cool? It's killer.
I didn't have a history lesson prepared related to the robe I'm wearing so take your pick on what happened today in history - there's actually a lot of neat things from this day in history:

On May 2nd,
1519: Leonardo DaVinci dies. A treasure trove of interesting things about that guy and his life.

1803: The Louisiana Purchase occurs, with France selling the "Louisiana Territory" to the US. A huge swath of land encompassing most of the central part of North America, it's bought without really any regard or agreement from, you know, the people that lived on the land. France, at the time, was only inhabiting a tiny portion of the territory at the time.

1946: The Battle of Alcatraz! A penitentiary built off the coast of California (San Francisco Bay) intended to house escape artists from other prisons. It housed some really famous people in its time, including Al Capone!

Something you can dive into if you get bored today!
