šZion National Park, Utah
The Narrows is Zion National Parkās most famous hike ā and for good reason. š The trail follows the Virgin River as it winds through towering canyon walls that rise up to 1,000 feet high, while the canyon itself narrows to just 20ā30 feet across in some places. Most of the hike is actually in the river, with water levels ranging from ankle-deep to chest-high depending on the season. š„¾š¦ The full ātop-downā route spans 16 miles, while the popular ābottom-upā day hike lets you explore as far as youād like before turning back. Itās a one-of-a-kind experience where the river is the trail.
